Sunday 31st Jan
Should be there tomoz practising again if anyone fancies it
30 quid for a non member to ride around a shortened track is takeing the piss
do people moan about paying £50 to race at matchams which is a SHORTER track believe it or not... jus to let you all know this isnt ill feeling or meant to offend just want to understand why ?
OK I dont know jon because I dont go to matchams no ill feeling mate 30 quid for a shortened dirty dangerous track is takeing the fooking piss I was pretty keen to get back up until i see how dead it was and how sad the track looked in the words of Duncan Valantine IM OUT
fair comment :) jus its the only track really thats local and you can turn up pretty much as and when you like.. ill keep going :)
no not paying mates rates just i help out down there occasionally...
I wish ya cud wen ya wanted 2 tryed 2 go a couple ov times and told it wasnt open ? Its nt the point tht its onli 30 quid in comparisant 2 other tracks, its the fact i used 2 go down there wid knee and arm pads tenna in mi back pocket, a can ov petrol and a cag thts wat started me off, u realy fink young kids on a budget can afford 2 pay 30 quid evry weekend 2 ride coz i dont ? And the people/person tht is/isnt running the track now wonders y theres onli a very small minority ov ppl tht choose 2 return 2 the place ?
So in the words ov Theo Paphitis Im out
I get ya... but thn you dont get the people who use to fight and bitch and moan all the time there anymore everyone gets on etc... at the end of the day it is only a small track to play and set bikes up on...
well said rob i have been taking scott to the ring for nearly 5 years, and what kept us there for so long was the costs and the people who rode, now for an extra few quid i can take him to a larger track, so untill the new owner relizes that his track is well below national standard for tracks, like many of you i feel the same its just not worth the moneyI wish ya cud wen ya wanted 2 tryed 2 go a couple ov times and told it wasnt open ? Its nt the point tht its onli 30 quid in comparisant 2 other tracks, its the fact i used 2 go down there wid knee and arm pads tenna in mi back pocket, a can ov petrol and a cag thts wat started me off, u realy fink young kids on a budget can afford 2 pay 30 quid evry weekend 2 ride coz i dont ? and jon 90% of the moaning was from you
Im sure he knows its well below national standard....
keep making snide little remarks about me brian if it makes you feel good, im pretty sure you know by now i don't give a flying cow what you or what anyone else for that matter has to say about me.... lol !
me 90% of the moaning you must be joking...no way is it more than 85%....
i guess none of the moaning was from you about the other juniors getting their pit-bikes tuned ??
no hard feelings.
and this is why its gone like it has, we keep digging at each other we need to stand together and sort it out i spoke to steve about the club he is happy if a group of riders and parents want to run it so nows your chance everybody to sort this problem out but first of all you all must stand together and sing from the same hymn sheet
andy im sorry to say this but its not gonna work... let people do what ever they wanna do i just wish the people who dont wanna race there would stop trying to ruin it for the people who want to race there this year. Let it be if you want to race there then lets sort something if you don't keep your opinions to yourself.
Anyone that comes on here and has visited the track in anyshape or form is entitled to an opinion and welcome to share their views. So I think 30 quid is takeing the micheal I used to go up 3 times a week some summers so how could I afford that now ? I cant afford to go once
the question i would like to ask is, with the world just coming out of a major recession and companies across the world having to lower there prices just to stay afloat does the powers that be see fit to up Angmerings prices by 200% for practise day and over 100% on racedays???
Now i run my own business and have been going to the Oval for over three years and i just cannot understand Steves thinking in doing this..to me it strikes as someone who is losing money and wants to try and claw as much back as possible.
The Oval is a grass roots track were dads take there sons and daughters for a cheap days riding and then park the bikes in the garage until the next weekend, now they may have a point if they improved the facilitys or spent money on the track.
I think that the final nail has just been driven in...R.I.P Angmering race track...and roll on the nationals
